1. I cant believe how long we have been following your blog seems unreal. Did the last couple years fly by?? Definitely. I can't believe it's been five years. I was such a baby when I started my blog. A lot happens between fifteen and twenty! 2. I still remember, the first magazine that made an impression on me as a kid My mom held on to a few copies of Sassy, and I loved the anti-glossiness of it. It was so much more about fashion in a real life context for cool young girls. There was one editorial that used frilly petticoats mixed with big flannels that I copied like crazy when I was fourteen 3. My high school years involved a lot of Swimming, late night talks with my very best friends, way too much time on the internet, the usual self-indulgent teen angst....I didn't like school, but I had some really cool teachers, like my English teacher Mr. Kai. He was so wonderful.
4. Now I get to work with The people who matter most to me, day in and day out! We always have each others backs. 5. I have a crush on Gregory Peck...doesn't he have such a beautiful nose?? Well, every part of him was perfect. 6. I now live in Dallas! 7. People think this of me: Earnest to the point of being very backwards...
8. I love the eye you have for vintage clothing. What do you feel of the the balance/difference with vintage and new designers is? I love the seventies for the kooky textiles and futuristic sensibilities. I love the past-future of the movies Logan's Run and Videodrome. I am not very into new fashion at the moment, but there are wonderful things happening. The best for me is to find something old that feels new. 9 If you could leave us with one thought, what would it be? Listen to this song, it is so nice for a hot summer night.
